Behemoth and Grupa 13's latest creative vision will be for the song, Lucifer. The song is the final track on Evangelion and clocks in at over eight minutes long and is one of the most atmospheric and foreboding songs in Behemoth's vast catalogue. The video was shot in Wroclaw, Poland and stars the song's guest vocalist, Maciej Malenczuk. The video is currently being edited and will see a worldwide premiere in September. Behemoth set the bar high with their last video, which was also a Grupa 13 collaboration. Alas, Lord is Upon Me.
Behemoth front man, Nergal, comments: "
We have teamed up with Grupa 13 again to shoot this amazing video...I must honestly say it was very refreshing cooperation. Darek is probably one of the most creative people I've met in this business and I love working with him. Every time we force ourselves to come up with even crazier ideas... This time we really made it very artistic and... still VERY disturbing. There's plenty of metaphors and symbolism in this video...the story is even more diverse, fucked up and out of control. I'm still digesting it... the video is being edited as we write these words...Stay tuned!"
Grupa 13's Dariusz Szermanowicz adds, "'Lucifer' is a song that completes the visual concept of the "Evangelion" album. The evolution of the script was long and stormy, but in the end it surprised us with lots of last minute changes and new energy in the ideas! This time we've shot it in a studio environment, with minimum set design. We've prepared over a dozen episodes and strong scenes filled with emotions. There's still more than a month of editing and post-production ahead of us. We wouldn't like to disclose the plot now, I can only say that this clip will be different from the previous ones. However, some elements, symbols and atmosphere continue the stories which have been told in the previous music videos."
